COVID-19 Update

We hope that this finds you all well, healthy and safe during this time of uncertainty. We wanted to reach out and touch base with you all, since this is a time that we would normally be ramping up for the beginning of a season. As I’m sure you’re all aware at this point, that will not be the case this season, unfortunately. 

We usually open our gates and office as of April 1st …. 

However, due to the COVID-19 Virus,  we’ve closed all communal areas until April 15th – or – until we are told otherwise by our government. This could change to a later date, as you can readily understand.  We are in the hospitality business and the Covid-19 virus is making it difficult to be hospitable. We are all in this together. It can be stressful and frustrating at times being and feeling cooped up, but we know this is for the greater good of our global community. We are determined to do our part to squash the spread of this potentially lethal virus.  

Here are some of the guidelines we’ve been given to date: 

* The Playground is not to be used.

* Seasonal clientele (and visitors, etc) may not come onto the property during April to walk around or check their trailers/sites or do clean-up work until May 1st, or it is deemed safe to open by the government. 

* The front gate will be closed and visitors may not come in to look at the park or look for sites until office staff can be there to show them, by appointment, and once it is deemed safe by the province to do so.  

* No park washrooms will be open.  

* Our park Office must remain closed and locked. 

* We will communicate by email. 

* We will not take Transient Reservations until we know when we may be open for transient camping.

Please understand that this is a necessary effort on the part of all Canadians to control the spread of this virus. This is impacting everyone all over the world.  It will affect everyone’s jobs, income and the way we live going forward.  It has never happened before in any of our current lifetimes. We hope that if we all do our part, we can stop this from spreading further.  We hope that this will be a temporary inconvenience, and that soon this will all be but a memory.  

Please understand that we will be a bit late in sending out our invoicing, and that it may be sent out in sections over a week, so we ask you to please be patient. The same obstacles many families are experiencing with working from home, family members self-quarantining after travel outside of the country, no childcare or school, and complications to helping friends and family because of social distancing, etc., has effected our family (and work family) as well. 

Seasonals may pay their site fees through e-transfers, cheques or thru mail or dropping cheques to our street mailbox.  

Once our office staff can safely return, we will answer phones from 10 and till 5 pm daily.  1 800 679 1853 #3 – our target office opening date is April 15th 2020, but we understand that this is a fluid and ever evolving situation and we will let you know if this date changes. Email is best way to communicate at this time. 

We’re all in this together and we will get past this together as well. Our first priority is the safety of our staff and our clientele. We all want everyone to stay safe and healthy.
